For Baby "Brother"

My sister is getting ready (can you ever be "ready") for her second child. 

I am very excited to say it's a boy.  For those of you who have read Seren's blog know I could have sworn I was having a boy (or a koi-fish...ek!) and have my fingers crossed I'll get a boy myself one day.

But for now, I will be getting a nephew.  And I had a little birdie (my mother) tell me that my sister and her husband was wanting to get mario bed sheets or at least a mario (video game) theme for the baby (who has remained name-less for the time being)

Seeing how it is rare to find Super Mario themed (anything)- Well....I have a sewing machine, it's an embroidery machine, and of course there are mario designs for purchase.

Well:

Left the quilt open to add the name and dob when he arrives (on botton yellow square)

A little taggie with "crinkle"

Couldnt forget matching bow for big sister!

Name and DOB to be embriodered on bottom yellow square

I have to say my darling husband informed me very quickly that these designs were not Super Mario, that in fact they were fron Mario World.  Ok, ok I get it, her is a "gamer".  But thanks to him, I was able to figure out the perfect way to create a boarder for it ;)


Now if only I can get it finished before baby comes!
